RWYATT's blog #1: Long Overdue

This story is one of surprise, it is an experience that triggers emotion just like what we talk about in class. Something simple seemingly insignificant triggers a whirlwind of emotions that compels one to do something, in this case speak out, against generalities of misinformed hatred. This author's point of view is like saying that Red Cross volunteers are murdering thousands, and taking control of nations for oil, because they are American and that's what Americans do. It is a very understandable piece especially because of the recent goings on in the world. The big question of this piece is where does the lack of voice problem fit in with the big picture. There has been many many lawsuits about discrimination in all senses and it is the American way to speak out on wrong doings. Obviously the author wasn't from America but still this is where it is being read and contexted. Lastly, I say that this essay went from specific to way too broad near the ending, it is one thing to call out injustices, but violence in general is too broad classify in this essay, it goes too deep too fast.
